Caldwell arrives at LSU as one of the premier coaches in all of college basketball. She won national championships as both a player and an assistant coach at Tennessee and turned UCLA into a national power in just three years as the Bruins head coach.

This season, she guided UCLA to 28-5 record, a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament and she signed the nation’s third-ranked recruiting class behind only Tennessee and Connecticut according to ESPN.com. UCLA set school records for regular-season victories (26), Pac-10 wins (16) and scoring defense (55.3 points per game).
