BATON ROUGE — LSU women’s basketball head coach Van Chancellor announced that junior point guard Taylor Booze will transfer from the Lady Tiger team and junior guard Erica Williams has left the squad.

Booze, a native of Carrollton, Texas, is transferring to Oklahoma City College, an NAIA school closer to her hometown. Williams will remain at LSU to focus on academics and earning her degree.

“Taylor will have two years of eligibility remaining and be closer to her family,” Chancellor said. “Erica will concentrate on her studies and has every intention of graduating from LSU. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.”

Booze averaged 2.4 points and 12.0 minutes per contest in five games for the Lady Tigers prior to a season-ending right knee injury she sustained in a contest against New Orleans on Dec. 13. Williams, a native of Gonzales, played in 17 games and posted 1.3 points per contest.
