BATON ROUGE – LSU Executive Education will host “Personal Branding for Athletes: Transitioning From the NFL to Your Next Career” June 10-13, 2010.
According to LSU Executive Education Director Robin Kistler, the program is designed specifically for former National Football League players.
“The LSU Athletic Department has been extremely gracious in helping us host this event,” Kistler said. “In conjunction with them, we have designed the Personal Branding for Athletes Program that will allow retiring NFL athletes to prepare for greater success in their post-playing endeavors.”
Topics that will be covered over the course of the program include:
Personal Brand Development
Building Your Business Knowledge
Entrepreneurship
Plan for Success
Over the course of three days, participants will take part in six different classes, breakout workshops, and a variety of extracurricular activities. Faculty from the E. J. Ourso College of Business and community business leaders will provide instruction.
“The classes will cover everything from personal branding to starting a business or foundation to working with the C-Suite, and the world of sponsorship and client development,” Kistler said.
“Ultimately, we are providing the means for these former athletes to leave the program with practical materials they can use to consult and develop ideas in groups and on a one-on-one basis.”
