BATON ROUGE – After very successful Father-Son and High School Skills camp sessions this past weekend, the LSU Tigers Boys Basketball Camp has announced that it will extended registration to Friday for its first Day Camp Session, schedule June 14-17.
The Day Camp session is $250 and includes lunch, T-shirt, Camp Ball and photo. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 14-17 for grades 3-8.
Campers will learn and improve fundamental basketball skills and learn to be a good team player.
Other day camp sessions are scheduled for June 21-24 (registration closes June 18) and Aug. 2-5 (registration closes July 30).
A total of 120 participants including over 55 parents and sons participated in the Father-Son camp this past weekend at LSU, staying in the Residential College South dorm. The campers participated in 3-on-3, 5-on-5 contests and learned about skill development and learned basketball drills for all ages, all in the new LSU practice facility.
Also over the weekend was the first of two High School Skills camps with campers from Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi taking part. This camp for rising grades 8 through 12 puts the focus on fundamentals and competitive team play.
The registration for the second High School Skills camp, set for July 2-3, closes June 30. The cost is $150 for overnight campers and $125 for commuters.
