BATON ROUGE — LSU’s record setting performance in the men’s 4×400 meter relay can be viewed Saturday when CBS broadcasts the NCAA Track and Field Championships at 1 p.m. on Baton Rouge cable channel 7.
The men, who finished third in the final team standings, capped the four-day meet with the historic relay performance, winning the national title in collegiate record time.
Reginald Dardar, Kelly Willie, Bennie Brazell and Xavier Carter became just the third foursome in collegiate history to ever run the 4×400 in under three minutes as the foursome clocked 2:59.59 in breaking the 17-year old record.
