BATON ROUGE — Sue Gunter, the former head coach of the LSU Lady Tigers basketball program, was released from a local hospital and is resting comfortably at her home.
Gunter, who was admitted into the hospital on Feb. 23 with pneumonia, has fully recovered from the repertory ailment. She is getting stronger with the use of a physical therapist.
The Hall of Fame coach stepped down from leading the Lady Tigers program following the 2003-04 season. She missed 30 games two seasons ago due to illness.
