BATON ROUGE — The LSU men’s tennis team jumped ahead one spot to No. 13 Friday when the Intercollegiate Tennis Association released its latest poll.

The Tigers (10-2, 2-2) beat Vanderbilt, last week’s 13th-ranked team, on Sunday in Nashville to earn their first SEC road win.

LSU freshman Ken Skupski moved up to 28th in the national singles rankings, thirty spots ahead of his previous rank. He beat three top-50 opponents since the last poll was released two weeks ago. His most recent win was over Vanderbilt’s 14th-ranked Chad Harris.

The Tigers also had two doubles teams in the national rankings. Junior Jason Hazley and senior Bryan Fisher remained in the top-25 at No. 23. Skupski and junior Peter Richman entered the poll for the first time at No. 34.

Six other Southeastern Conference teams were ranked among the top 25. Ole Miss, LSU’s next opponent, leads the SEC at No.4, ahead of No. 9 Florida, No. 12 Georgia, No. 16 Kentucky, No. 17 Vanderbilt and No. 21 Tennessee.

The Tigers play host to Ole Miss Friday at 4 p.m.
