BATON ROUGE — Scholanda Hoston (formerly Dorrell), a guard for the 2001-02 LSU Women’s Basketball team, will return to the team for the 2003-04 season after having to miss the 2002-03 season for personal reasons.
Hoston, a 5-10 guard Miami, Fla., started nine games for the Lady Tigers as a freshman in 2001-02 and averaged 10.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
She will return to the team as a sophomore both athletically and academically.
Dorrell helped LSU post a 18-12 record two seasons ago and advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament despite being just one of seven healthy players. She is one of nine returning players for the 2003-04 season that includes National Freshman of the Year Seimone Augustus and All-American Temeka Johnson.
