BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Eleven of the 163 student-athletes who were named to the 2002 SEC Women’s Soccer Academic Honor Roll were LSU Tigers, SEC Commissioner Mike Slive announced on Thursday, April 17.
Among those honored were LSU’s Chelsea Agar, Artie Brown, Jenny deHay, Suzanne Drake, Julie Hadzic, Christine Haman, Mandy Heintz, Laura Klatter, Stacie McDougall, Leigh McGovern and Ashley Mitnick.
The University of Alabama topped the list with 21 student-athletes on the academic roster. The University of Kentucky was close behind with 20 honorees, while the University of Florida had 18 student-athletes honored.
The 2002 SEC Women’s Soccer Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2001-02 academic calendar.
