BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — A total of 161 student-athletes were named to the 2002 Southeastern Conference Swimming and Diving Academic Honor Roll, it was announced by SEC Commissioner Roy Kramer.
LSU placed nine women and 12 men on the honor roll. Georgia and Tennessee also placed 12 men on the list. Florida had 15 student-athletes named to the list. Arkansas topped the women’s list with 16 on the roster.
LSU had seven repeat selections on the women’s side, while Ashley Culpepper made the list for the first time in her career and Holly Winters made the honor roll for the second time in her career, also making the roster in the 1999-2000 season. Nine of the 12 men that made the roster for LSU also made it last year.
LSU now boasts 175 SEC Academic Honor Roll members in its history.
