BATON ROUGE — In honor of LSU head baseball coach Skip Bertman’s final regular-season weekend series at Alex Box Stadium from May 11-13, LSUsports.net has compiled a “Skip Through the Years” photo gallery, illustrating coach Bertman’s 17 seasons and five national championships at LSU.
The photo gallery is just the beginning to a weekend devoted to the greatest collegiate baseball coach. Pregame ceremonies before Friday’s 7 p.m. game officially kickoff the festivities which will continue throughout the weekend.
Nearly 50 pictures in the photo gallery depict “the Skipper” from his early days with the Tigers in 1984 through his five championship seasons, including the media guide/yearbook covers from 1985 to 2001.
If you would like to include your photos of coach Bertman in a fans-only photo gallery, please e-mail these to the Webmaster no later than Sunday, May 13. Please include an approximate date and the names of any other individuals appearing the picture with coach Bertman.
