NASHVILLE — The LSU men’s tennis team improved to 10-2 on the season and 2-1 in the Southeastern Conference after beating Vanderbilt on the road, 6-1, Saturday afternoon in Nashville.
LSU swept the three doubles matches to open the match and No. 1 through No. 5 singles, all in straight sets. The only matchup of ranked players came at No. 1 singles where No. 35 Michal Chmela of LSU topped No. 29 Andrew Nisker 6-1, 6-2. The lone Vanderbilt winner on the day was Brad Hambrick who posted a 7-6, 6-2, win over Anthony Mateljan at No. 6.
