BATON ROUGE — The LSU tennis team, which fell to 11th in the rankings released on Wednesday, is set to host No. 14 Texas A&M on Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m.
“Texas A&M is a very tenacious team that will really get after you,” said LSU coach Jeff Brown. “They beat Florida a couple of weeks ago fairly handily so they are a very capable team.”
Last season, the Aggies dominated LSU to the tune of a 6-1 defeat in College Station for the Tigers first loss of the year.
“We need to come out with a great deal of fight against them. It will take a great deal of effort on our part to get the victory,” said Brown.
The Tigers, owners of a 8-2 record dropped to No. 11 after being ranked sixth for the past two weeks. Individuall for LSU, Tom Hand moved up one spot to No. 20 while Michal Chmela fell to 35th.
Texas A&M will be led by Shuon Madden who is currently ranked No. 3 in the nation.
