BATON ROUGE – The No. 8 LSU softball team will face Southeastern Louisiana on Tuesday, March 21st in a make-up game at 5 p.m.
“We had a rocky start this past weekend against Auburn, but the team pulled together and ended strong,” said head coach Glenn Moore. “I feel that we are ready to face Southeastern and make adjustments to do what is needed to win.”
The original game was scheduled for Wednesday, March 15 and was rescheduled due to rain. The Tigers have never faced the SLU Lions in action.
This past weekend, LSU began Southeastern Conference play against Auburn, going 3-1 for the weekend. The Tigers struggled in game one but came out ahead, winning 6-5. In game two, LSU fell 2-1; however, the Tigers came out roaring in game three and four defeating Auburn 9-1 in six innings in each game.
Tiger Stephanie Hastings was named SEC Player of the Week for her efforts in leading the Tigers to victory.
LSU will face its second SEC opponent Florida on Friday, March 25 at 5 and 7 p.m.
