BATON ROUGE — The LSU women’s basketball team will have its annual banquet on Thursday, May 4 at 7 p.m. at the Lod Cook Alumni Center.
The banquet will honor the 2000 LSU women’s basketball team, a squad that posted a 25-7 overall mark, finished the year ranked No. 8 in the nation and reached the Elite Eight at the NCAA Tournament.
Among the players to be honored at this year’s banquet are Marie Ferdinand, a third team all-American selection and a member of the East Regional all-tournament team and Katrina Hibbert, a three-time first team all-Southeastern Conference selection and a recent draft pick by the Seattle Storm of the WNBA.
Tickets for the event are $20 and anyone interested in attending should call the LSU women’s basketball office at (225) 388-6643. Dinner will be served as well as the presentation of awards along with a highlight video produced by the LSU Electronic Media Department.
