BATON ROUGE — The third-seeded LSU women’s basketball team will play host to an NCAA Sub-Regional for the second straight year and will face Liberty in the first round, the NCAA announced Sunday. Please check back later for the complete story.

In the other first round game to be held in Baton Rouge, No. 6 Xavier will take on No. 11-seeded Stephen F. Austin.

Tickets to the NCAA women’s basketball sub-regional hosted by LSU go on sale Monday at 8 a.m. at the LSU Ticket Office.

The sub-regional at the Maravich Assembly Center starts on Friday, March 17 with two games. Sixth-seeded Xavier faces 11th-seeded Stephen F. Austin in the first game on Friday with third-seeded LSU hosting 14th-seeded Liberty in the nightcap. Game times for Friday’s games will be determined on Monday afternoon.

The second round contest between the first round winners will be played at 7:35 p.m. on Sunday, March 19.

Tournament books, which include tickets for all three games, can be purchased for $25 for adults and $15 for all students.

Single-game tickets won’t go on sale until the day of the game. Single-game prices are $15 for adults and $8 for students.
