Women’s Golfer Lee Named GTE Academic All-American

BATON ROUGE — LSU’s senior golfer Lisette Lee added another honor to her list on Wednesday as she was named to the GTE District VI Academic All-America At-Large team.

Lee, a Kenner, La., native, is one of 10 players named to the first team squad. The At-Large team includes the sports of golf, tennis, and track and field.

Lee posted a 3.937 grade point average in Finance and earlier this spring, she was named the recipient of the $10,000 post-graduate Boyd McWhorter Scholarship from the Southeastern Conference. Lee has also been named the SEC Female Student-Athlete of the Year the last two seasons. Lee is also a three-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll.

On the golf course, Lee earned first team all-SEC honors for the second time of her career this season as she posted a 75.67 stroke average. Earlier this spring, Lee won the Lady Gamecock Classic in wire-to-wire fashion with a 54-hole total of 4-over 220. Lee also had two other top 10 finishes.
