BATON ROUGE — The 1999 LSU Football Media Guide has been named the fourth best of its kind in the country and ranks atop the Southeastern Conference, as ranked by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Notre Dame gained top honors nationally for its 1999 media guide, followed by Texas, Army and LSU. Rounding out the top seven awards given by CoSIDA were Texas A&M, Virginia Tech and Kentucky.
The guide was also ranked second best in CoSIDA District VI behind Texas and ahead of Texas A&M.
The LSU media guide was edited by associate athletic director Herb Vincent and associate sports information director Michael Bonnette. Layout and design was by publications director Susan Hazzard and photography by Steve Franz.
The guide was produced by LSU Graphic Services.
The awards presentation will be held at the annual CoSIDA convention to be held June 25-28 at St. Louis, Mo.
This marks the second time in the last three years that LSU’s football media guide ranked fourth in the nation with the 1997 guide receiving the same ranking.
