BATON ROUGE — LSU’s baseball media guide was voted No. 2 in the nation, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced in the organization’s yearly contest.
The 208-page media guide was written and edited by Associate Sports Information Director Bill Franques and designed by Graphic Design Coordinator Krystal Bennett, with photography by Steve Franz and Jason Feirman.
The guide serves as a complete source of LSU Baseball information, including coach and player bios, statistics, notes, records and a summary of the program’s storied history.
Media guides are a source of information for media outlets and fellow sports information offices as well as an important recruiting tool for coaches.
The baseball guide’s accolade adds to an already outstanding year for LSU athletic publications.
Of the 17 media guides LSU produced this year, eight earned top-five rankings including two “Best in the Nation” guides (women’s basketball and men’s tennis).
In addition, LSU’s football game program earned best cover honors and was ranked seventh in the nation.
