KINGSWOOD, Texas — LSU freshman Lindy LaBauve kept her win streak going Wednesday and advanced to the quarterfinal round of the 94th Women’s Southern Amateur golf tournament here at the Island Course.
LaBauve, who advances to Thursday’s quarterfinal round, knocked out Elena Collins, representing the Pinehurst Country Club, who plays for the University of Virginia. LaBauve, who won her opening match in 21 holes on Tuesday, went the distance on Wednesday, winning her match one up. LaBauve is playing out of The University Club in Baton Rouge.
LaBauve would have to get through two matches on Thursday to advance to Friday’s 36-hole championship match.
