Second-annual event includes 5K, 10K and Kids Mile races finishes on the 50-yard line of Tiger Stadium
BATON ROUGE — LSU Athletics, in conjunction with SportsBR and FRESHJUNKIE Racing, are thrilled that race week for the second-annual Tiger10K has arrived.
Runners are set to “Race Into Death Valley” on Sunday, Dec. 2, and cross the finish at the 50-yard line of Tiger Stadium underneath the “WIN!” bar.
Participants can run, jog or walk the 10K, 5K or Kids Mile, and then enjoy the post-race party featuring jambalaya, pastalaya, grilled hot dogs, and food from several local restaurants.
“FRESHJUNKIE Racing is again excited to partner with LSU Athletics and SportsBR to bring this first-class event back to our community for a second year,” said Jonathan Dziuba, Race Director and co-owner of FRESHJUNKIE Racing. “We are looking forward to implementing some runner-focused improvements this year that will enhance the overall quality of the event for participants and spectators alike. This truly is a unique experience for our community and LSU fans from across the nation. We are honored to be a part of something so powerful.”
LSU Athletics, SportsBR (formerly Baton Rouge Area Sports Foundation) and FRESHJUNKIE Racing are proud to be hosting the second-annual Tiger 10K as it is a unique running experience that will attract traditional runners, novice runners and those who make this their first race. The LSU Student Athlete Life Skills Program will be the beneficiary of the event, with a portion of the Tiger 10K proceeds supporting total student-athlete development within the LSU campus and community.
Online registration will be available until 6 p.m. CT on Saturday, Dec. 1, at www.Tiger10K.com.
