BATON ROUGE – The LSU men’s basketball team, off two wins last week, has moved up to No. 22 in the Associated Press media voting heading into its Tuesday night game against Memphis in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. 

The Tigers and Memphis will tip at just after 6 p.m. on Tuesday in a game broadcast on the SEC Network and the LSU Sports Radio Network.

LSU was ranked No. 23 in the AP preseason poll and with this ranking it marks the 200th AP poll that LSU Has been ranked in since the poll began in the 1948-49 season. Prior to this year, LSU was ranked in the preseason and the first three polls of the 2015-16 season. 

With its two wins this year, LSU is 262-99 as a ranked team, but only 2-5 when playing as the No. 22 team in an AP poll. 

LSU is one of five SEC teams in the AP poll – No. 5 Tennessee, No. 9 Auburn, No. 10 Kentucky, No. 17 Mississippi State and No. 22 LSU.
