BATON ROUGE – After clinching a 4-2 comeback win over the No. 33-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks Thursday, the No. 43 LSU women’s tennis team will host its second home match of the week against the Missouri Tigers Saturday at noon CT at the LSU Tennis Complex.

Saturday’s match will be preceded by a senior tribute to honor 2018 LSU women’s tennis senior Ryann Foster.

“It’s going to be awesome to honor her as one of the great players that’s done so much for our program,” co-head coach Julia Sell said. “She’s family to us and it’s sad to even think that she’s already a senior, but we’re not going to think that way just yet. Missouri is a great team; we had a 4-3 battle with them last year at their place and we’re expecting another tough match.”

LSU (11-4; 2-3 SEC) improved to 10-1 at home with Thursday’s win over Arkansas and will look to add another home win against Missouri (11-7; 0-4 SEC).

The LSU women’s tennis team has played Missouri at least once in each season since 2013 and holds a perfect 6-0 record all-time against the Tigers from Columbia, most recently a 4-3 at the Mizzou Tennis Complex last season.

Freshman Eden Richardson and junior Jessica Golovin each picked up their team-leading 12th dual singles wins of the season against Arkansas Thursday on courts two and three, respectively. Richardson is in the midst of a 10-match win streak and leads the team with 22 total singles victories dating back to the fall. Richardson and Golovin have also combined for a team-leading eight doubles victories, including two against pairings ranked in the top 15.

Missouri sophomore Serena Nash is slated to play on court one, where she has compiled a 6-5 record thus far in the dual season. Sophomore Mackenzy Middlebrooks leads the team with a 12-1 dual singles record across courts two through four. The Missouri Tigers are coached by former LSU men’s tennis player Colt Gaston in his second season with the team.
