FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The LSU Track & Field teams look to hit another gear against stiff competition at the Razorback Invitational running Friday and Saturday in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Tigers and No. 9-ranked Lady Tigers will compete both days at the Randal Tyson Track Center.
Friday’s afternoon session kicks off at 12:45 p.m. CT with the women’s pentathlon, followed by the first individual field events at 2:00 p.m. The meet continues on Saturday morning, beginning with the men’s 3000-meter at 11:10 a.m. The Razorback Invitational finale, the 4×400-meter relays, are set for a 4:30 p.m. start on Saturday afternoon.
Fans can watch the meet through the live-stream of Friday’s session starting at 6 p.m. CT on SEC Network Plus and with the WatchESPN app. Saturday’s session will be broadcast on the SEC Network beginning at 1 p.m. CT. Live results can also be seen at flashresults.com.

National Rankings
The Tigers and Lady Tigers will have their hands full this weekend as it features 15 Top-25 squads combined with numerous national event-leaders in 2018, as well as defending Indoor National Champions on both sides.
The top-three men’s teams in the nation will run in Fayetteville as Florida, Georgia and Texas A&M will be represented. Host Arkansas stands at the No. 7 spot in the national rankings, and No. 13 USC, along with No. 23 Florida State, round out the ranked teams for the men.
The ninth-ranked Lady Tigers face a similar challenge as seven of the top 10 teams in the nation, No. 2 Arkansas, No. 3 Georgia, No. 4 USC, No. 5 Florida, No. 7 Texas A&M and No. 10 Ole Miss, will square-off at the Razorback Invitational.
Iowa State and Kansas State also represent top-25 teams on the women’s side.
Last Week’s Notables
Last weekend at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational, the Lady Tigers dominated the 60-meter and 60-meter hurdles as they took the top-two spots in each event on their way to a team title.
Senior Aleia Hobbs led the charge with an event-winning, personal-best and national-leading 60-meter time of 7.14 seconds. This places Hobbs No. 2 on LSU’s all-time list for the event, and she was also recognized as the SEC Women’s Co-Runner of the Week on Tuesday for her exceptional performance.
Junior Kortnei Johnson crossed shortly after Hobbs in 7.19 seconds, a personal-best, earning second-place. Johnson’s mark sits at the No. 8 all-time spot in LSU history, and she shaved .02 seconds off her previous best 60-meter time.
The Lady Tigers had similar success in the 60-meter hurdles as they held five of the eight final qualifying spots. Similar to the 60-meter finals, Lady Tigers took the top-two spots. Sophomore Tonea Marshall and senior Mikiah Brisco placed first and second respectively, achieving seasonal-best times in the process.
Senior Ashley Welborn and freshman Alicia Stamey had a 1-2 finish of their own, leading all finishers in the women’s 3000-meter.
For the men who participated in the field events, freshmen JuVaughn Blake and Jake Norris had impressive outings in the high jump and weight throw respectively. Blake placed second with a mark of 6′ 10.75”, and Norris notched a personal-best toss of 63′ 10.5”.
Freshman Damion Thomas and junior Arthur Price set seasonal top-times in the men’s 60-meter hurdles. Thomas, who finished in 7.80 seconds, now sits No. 7 all-time in school history with his performance.
Senior Da’Quan Bellard (long jump) and junior Correion Mosby (200-meter) shattered personal-best marks as well for the Tigers.

LSU’s teams will follow their trip to Fayetteville this weekend with the squad splitting up to open the month of February. The Tigers and Lady Tigers will host the one-day Bayou Bengal Invitational on Friday February 2, and some will travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico for the New Mexico Collegiate Classic. Those competing in Albuquerque will run two days starting February 2, and all events will take place at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
