BATON ROUGE – The LSU gymnastics program announced new items for fans to be aware of during home meets in 2018 beginning tonight when the Tigers open the season against Arkansas inside the Maravich Center.
The opening meet of the season will be broadcast live on the SEC Network. John Rothlisberger and Alicia Sacramone Quinn will be on the call. The meet is scheduled for a 7:25 p.m. CT first vault with coverage beginning at 7 p.m. Friday’s matchup between LSU and Arkansas is the lone meet featured on “Friday Night Heights” this week. It will fill a two-hour window that will feature the pre-meet activities and a preview for the 2018 season.
Arrive Early
Coming off another season of record-breaking attendance numbers during 2017, all fans are encouraged to arrive early and purchase tickets in advance to avoid long lines. Tickets for all individual meets are available now at www.LSUTIX.net or by calling the LSU Ticket Office at (225)578-2184 or toll-free at (800)960-8587.
Geaux Clear
Fans are reminded that LSU’s Geaux Clear policy is in effect for all sports. The following bags are permitted inside LSU Athletic venues: clear 12” x 6” x 12” or smaller bags, clear 1-gallon freezer bags & clear or non-clear 4.5” x 6.5” (approximately the size of a person’s hand) wallets/wristlets/clutches. For more information regarding the clear bag policy, please visit lsusports.net/geauxclear.
Change – Diaper Bags
Those bringing supplies for infants/toddlers must adhere to the clear bag policy. Diaper bags must be clear and no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”. Backpacks, including drawstring/synch bags, are strictly prohibited – regardless of size and if clear or non-clear.
Additional Concessions
LSU has added concession food trucks/trailers to the Upper NW and Upper W concourse areas. The food truck/trailers are located just outside the entry doors and are only accessible from inside the arena.
North Stadium Drive Closed To Vehicle Traffic
The section of North Stadium Drive from West Stadium Drive to Fieldhouse Drive will be closed two hours prior to all gymnastics meets for the 2018 season. Only those with Lot 201 or Lot 300 parking permits will have vehicular access to North Stadium Drive. Lot 101 will still be accessible for free parking for all patrons. All other parking lots on campus will remain free and open to the public.
ADA Parking – Lot 300
In an effort to relocate ADA parking closer to the PMAC, Lot 300 will now serve as the ADA parking lot. Patrons must have a state issued handicap license plate or placard for access to this parking area. Patrons must enter the lot from N. Stadium Dr. As a result of the change, the special assistance shuttle will no longer be offered.
Maravich Center Entrances, Student Section Open Early
There are four upper concourse entrances open for all home meets (NE, SE, SW, NW). There is also a lower entrance open at the southeast corner of the arena; the special assistance elevator is also located near this entrance. The LSU student entrance located on the Upper W concourse (facing Bernie Moore Stadium) will open 1 hour and 45 minutes prior to all LSU Gymnastics meets. A valid student ID is required. All other entrances will open 1 hour and 30 minutes prior to the scheduled first vault time.
Guest Service Kiosk – Concourse Portal F
A guest service kiosk has been added to the concourse near Portal F for the 2018 season. The kiosk will be staffed with guest service representatives, who are available to answer questions and address issues, throughout the game. The kiosk will also be equipped with fan amenities: posters, schedule cards, game programs, a phone charging station, etc.
Guest Service Hotline (225-578-4085)
New for the 2017-18 Athletics calendar year, a guest services hotline has been created to better assist fans with questions before, during and after LSU Athletics competitions and events. The hotline will be available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and also surrounding LSU Athletics events. Guest services representatives are happy to assist fans with all questions/issues or direct them to the appropriate personnel.
