Duop Reath Earns Second Career SEC POW Honor

BATON ROUGE – LSU senior forward Duop Reath earned SEC Player of the Week honors for the second time in his LSU career after a huge scoring night against UNCW in LSU’s 97-84 win on Sunday.

The 6-11 native of Australia made a career high 13 field goals, including one three, and added 3-of-4 field goal attempts to finish with a career high 30 points. His previous high was 23 points and one of those came in the opening week of the 2016-17 season when he was also named the POW.

Reath, in the last two games at home against UT-Martin (Nov. 29) and UNCW (Dec. 10) has made 19-of-26 field goal attempts and scored 45 points. He is averaging 14.6 points a game and 4.9 rebounds a game. He has posted a 65.0 shooting percentage from the floor and has made 73.3% of his free throw attempts.
