BATON ROUGE – The LSU women’s golf team travels to Wilmington, N.C. for its fourth tournament this season. The Lady Tigers will compete in the 16th annual Landfall Tradition at the Country Club of Landfall, a Pete Dye course, on Oct. 27-29.
The par-72 tournament, hosted by UNC Wilmington, will feature split tee starts on Friday and Saturday and a shotgun start for the final round on Sunday. The field of 18 teams includes ten teams ranked in Golfweek’s Top-25 poll, led by No. 2 Alabama and No. 4 Duke.
Senior Sydney Cavin returns to action this week after missing the beginning of the season with a foot injury. Cavin was one of two players from last year to compete in every round for the Lady Tigers.

LSU will look to bounce back after a tough showing at the Betsy Rawls Invitational two weeks ago. Junior Kathleen Gallagher posted the team’s low total for the tournament starting her first two rounds with solid scores of 73 and 73 before closing with an overall score of 222. She finished the tournament tied for 18th. Gallagher currently leads the team with a 73.67 average over nine rounds.
