AUSTIN, Texas – LSU junior women’s golfer Kathleen Gallagher posted a top-20 finish to lead the LSU women’s golf team Tuesday in the final round of the Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin, Texas.
The Greenwood, Mississippi native finished tied for 18th after a 4-over par 76 to finish 6-over 222 on the par 72 University of Texas Golf Club course with rounds of 73-73-76. Gallagher put together birdies twice on the front nine and twice on the back nine for a total of four in the final round and a total of 11 for the 54 holes.
The Lady Tigers posted 24-over 312 in the final round to finish the event at 49-over par 913 and tied for 13th place.
Freshman Kendall Griffin posted the second-best score for the Tigers in the final round at 5-over par 77. She finished tied for 39th with a 12-over 228.
