WEST POINT, Miss. – LSU junior Kathleen Gallagher used the home state advantage to shoot a 4-under 68 on the opening day of the Magnolia Invitational in West Point, Mississippi on Sunday. The Greenwood, Mississippi, native was 4-under on the front nine and shot even to finish in a tie for second place after Day One.
The Lady Tigers are in a tie for sixth place with a 301 (+13) on the day. Co-host Ole Miss and Tennessee were the only teams to post under par at 10-under par 278 and 1-under 287, respectively.
LSU senior Claudia De Antonio provided the second-best score for the Lady Tigers with 3-over 75, tying her for 25th. Junior Page Morehead, playing as an individual, shot even par on the day and is tied for ninth.
