Softball Announces Fall Schedule

BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU softball team and head coach Beth Torina announced the 2017 Fall Schedule Sunday morning. The 2017 Women’s College World Series participant will be taking on various teams in October and November. LSU, along with UCLA, are the only institutions who have qualified for three consecutive WCWS berths. 

These fall games give fans a first look at the 2018 squad, which includes seven home games and one game in the Houston area. All games will be FREE admission for fans. The schedule also features a game with National Pro Fastpitch team Texas Charge.

Expected to suit up for the Charge are former LSU players and All-Americans in Bailey Landry and Brittany Mack-Oakes. 

Landry played for the Tigers from 2014-17 and just completed her first season in the NPF as a member of the Texas Charge. She was named the 2017 NPF Rookie of the Year and was an All-NPF selection.

Mack-Oakes was a Tiger in 2009 and finished her career in 2012. She completed her third season in the NPF, playing one season with the Texas Charge (2017), a season with the USSSA Pride (2012) and a season with the Akron Racers (2013).
