KNOXVILLE, Tenn.— The LSU men’s tennis team will compete in the SEC Tournament as the No. 10 seed and will square off against the No. 7 seed Arkansas Thursday at 11 a.m. CT at the Goodfriend Tennis Center.

Thoughts from Coach Brown
“The team is looking forward to the challenge,” head coach Jeff Brown said. “Arkansas is a talented team, and we will have to match the Razorbacks’ intensity to succeed.”
The Matchup
Earlier this season, the Tigers (10-16, 3-9 SEC) fell to the Razorbacks (15-11, 6-6 SEC) in a 4-3 contest in Baton Rouge.
The winner of Thursday’s match will advance to the quarterfinals Friday and face No. 2 seed Georgia.
Tiger Tidbits
LSU has two players ranked in the ITA singles rankings in No. 36 Jordan Daigle and No. 72 Justin Butsch. The senior duo has also paired this season to become the No. 26 doubles duo in the nation.
Last time out, the Tigers went 1-1, falling to Tennessee, 4-3, and defeating UNO in a clean sweep, 4-0.
Notes on the Razorbacks
Arkansas finished the SEC regular season tied for sixth place with Ole Miss. Mike Redlicki and Jose Salazar finished the regular season ranked as the No. 3 doubles pair in the nation. Redlicki is also ranked as the No. 10 singles player in the country, and Salazar is No. 34.
