BATON ROUGE — The LSU women’s tennis team jumped two more spots to No. 27 in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I Collegiate Tennis rankings released Tuesday.
After its thrilling road win over the now No. 42 Missouri Tigers on Sunday, LSU (9-4) climbed even higher in the rankings with SEC play now in full swing.
The No. 27 ranking is the second highest for LSU this season since beginning the spring as the preseason No. 19.
Facing one of the toughest conference schedules in the nation, the Tigers have already picked up two huge wins in the SEC, which currently ranks all 14 teams in the top-50.
The Tigers boast a 7-1 record at the LSU Tennis Complex and will prepare to continue their success at home as they host No. 44 Alabama on Friday and No. 5 Auburn on Sunday.
