BATON ROUGE, La. – The LSU softball team checks in at No. 13 in the latest NFCA Coaches Poll, while staying put at No. 12 in this week’s edition of the USA Softball Collegiate Top 25.
LSU, with an overall record of 19-6, is coming off of its first weekend Southeastern Conference series of the year, taking one of three games at No. 4 Auburn. Along with LSU and Auburn, all 13 SEC teams in the SEC this week are either ranked or receiving votes in the latest NFCA Poll.
The Tigers will close out their weekend portion of non-conference play by taking on the Wichita State Shockers at 5 p.m. CT on Thursday, turning around the next day and participating in the Rock Chalk Challenge in Lawrence taking on Omaha, Kansas, Tulsa and Southeast Missouri State on Friday and Saturday.
