FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The No. 29 LSU women’s tennis team will travel to Fayetteville to face the No. 18 Arkansas Razorbacks at the Billingsley Tennis Center Friday at 6 p.m. CT.
The Tigers (8-3; 1-1 SEC) are fresh off a huge win over No. 19 South Carolina and are looking to pull off their second-straight top-20 victory against the Razorbacks (10-2; 1-0 SEC).
LSU is lead by junior Ryann Foster with nine wins this dual season, followed by freshman Jade Lewis and sophomore Jessica Golovin with eight wins apiece.
No. 52 Lewis is off to an undefeated start to her Tiger career at 8-0 in singles, with four of her victories coming against ranked opponents.
No. 83 Foster and No. 116 Joana Valle Costa are also displaying exceptional form of late in both singles and doubles, where together they are ranked as the No. 42 pairing in the country.
Arkansas has two ranked player in No. 64 Shannon Hudson, who owns an 8-1 record on court one this season, and No. 118 Ana Oparenovic.
The Razorbacks are coached by Michael Hegarty in his 14th season with the team.
