HOUSTON – The LSU and Baylor baseball teams came together Thursday for one great cause – participate with Shriners Hospitals patients in a therapeutic and rehabilitative game of baseball in the hospital’s recreational area.
The visit was part of the Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic taking place this weekend at Minute Maid Park.

The teams spent over 90 minutes at the hospital, participating in baseball-related activities that delighted the young patients.
Shriners Hospitals for Children is a health care system with 22 locations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The staff is dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing pediatric specialty care, conducting innovative research, and offering outstanding teaching programs for medical professionals.
At the Houston Shriners Hospital, children up to age 18 with orthopaedic conditions, cleft lip and palate, and long-term rehabilitative needs are eligible for care, regardless of the families’ ability to pay. All services are provided in a compassionate, family-centered environment.
