AUBURN, Ala. – The second-ranked LSU gymnastics team remained undefeated against Southeastern Conference competition with a 197.675-196.100 victory over No. 14 Auburn Friday evening at Auburn Arena.
With the victory over Auburn, the Tigers improved to 11-1 and 6-0 in league competition. The team score also extended a streak of 17-straight meets with a 197 or better.
The win also helped capture at least a share of the first ever SEC regular season championship. The Tigers will square off against the third-ranked Gators at 2:30 p.m. CT Sunday inside the Maravich Center. A win by LSU would capture the title outright, while a victory by the Gators would split the regular season title.
