NEW ORLEANS, La. — The LSU women’s tennis team is set to face off against the Tulane Green Wave in their first true road test of the season Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the City Park Pepsi Center in New Orleans.

The Tigers improved to 7-1 on the season with wins over South Florida and Houston this weekend and went undefeated in their four-match home stretch, improving their overall record to 6-0 at the LSU Tennis Complex.

Junior Ryann Foster, ranked No. 65, increased her winning streak to ten straight matches, and freshman Jade Lewis, ranked No. 35, increased her streak to seven straight matches to begin her Tiger career.

LSU has turned the doubles point into a strong suit this season, winning seven of a possible eight doubles points so far and holding a 15-3 overall doubles record to go along with a 32-5 singles record.

The Tigers are 35-4 in their storied history against Tulane, with their most recent match ending in a 6-1 victory for LSU last season. The Tigers also faced off against Tulane in the fall when they hosted the LSU Tiger Classic in a hidden dual format.

Tulane is 10-2 this season and 6-0 at the City Park Pepsi Center. The Green Wave are coached by Terri Sisk in her ninth season with the team.
