BATON ROUGE — The LSU women’s tennis team will compete in the final match of their four-match home stand against Houston Sunday at 11 a.m. at the LSU Tennis Complex.
The Tigers improved to 6-1 on the season with a 6-1 win over South Florida Friday afternoon and remained undefeated in five home matches this season.
Freshman Jade Lewis and junior Ryann Foster increased their singles winning streaks to six and ten matches in a row, respectively. Lewis and fellow freshman Becca Weissmann are a combined 9-0 in dual singles play to begin their LSU careers, as well as 5-0 in doubles when paired together.
The Tigers as a team are 29-4 in singles play and 13-2 in doubles this dual season.
The Houston Cougars are coached by Courtney Steinbock in her second season with the team and currently sit at 4-2 this spring.
