BATON ROUGE— The LSU men’s tennis team will host the 2017 ITA Southern Regional at the LSU Tennis Complex from Oct. 19-23, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Wednesday.
“We are so proud to now have a facility that was chosen to host the Southern Regional,” head coach Jeff Brown said. “This adds to the importance of the event for our team and gives our fans to see great tennis and enjoy our stadium.”
This will be the second event that the men’s tennis team has hosted in the new facility since the tennis complex opened in August 2015. The women’s team played host to the 2016 SEC Tournament.
Fans may enjoy all of the action with excellent sight lines from a total of 1,400 seats facing 12 outdoor courts. Six indoor courts allow the Tigers to host more than 300 fans above the playing surfaces.
The LSU Tennis Complex is located on Gourrier Avenue across from LSU Baseball’s Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.
