BATON ROUGE – After putting five goals past the opposition to lead the Tigers to a weekend sweep at the LSU Soccer Stadium this past weekend, junior First-Team All-SEC striker Jorian Baucom was named Tuesday among 11 players nationally to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Women’s College Team of the Week for her performance.
This marks the second time this season Baucom has featured on the TopDrawerSoccer.com Women’s College Team of the Week as one of the 11 standout players across the country after also being selected on Sept. 6 following LSU’s appearance at the Hoosier Challenge Cup hosted by Indiana University.

Baucom fired the Tigers to a weekend sweep of Ole Miss on Friday and Lamar on Sunday while scoring five of the team’s seven goals in the two matches played at the LSU Soccer Stadium in Baton Rouge.
Baucom converted two penalty kicks in the 30th and 70th minutes of Friday’s 3-0 win over the Rebels to hand the Tigers their first three points in SEC play this season. Her spot kick at the half-hour mark proved to be the game-winner as she now leads the Tigers with three game-winning goals on the season.
She followed by scoring her first career hat trick in a 4-0 win over Lamar on Sunday afternoon with goals in the 32nd, 50th and 67th minutes of the match. It was the first hat trick by an LSU Tiger since fellow All-SEC striker Summer Clarke bagged three goals as a freshman in LSU’s 5-3 win at Arkansas on Oct. 4, 2013.
By scoring five goals on the weekend, Baucom emerged as the SEC’s leading goal scorer and tied for the No. 2 spot on the NCAA’s scoring charts with nine goals in her 10 appearances in 2016. She now ranks No. 4 on the program’s all-time goal-scoring list with 32 goals in her 52 career appearances as a Tiger as she is closing in on LSU’s career record of 40 goals set by former All-SEC forward Artie Brown from 2001-04.
The Tigers have now bounced back from their 1-3 start to the season with wins in five of their last six outings with an impressive 5-1 mark over the last three weeks. Baucom has been a catalyst in the turnaround as she has scored eight of her nine goals this season during that six-game stretch.
