BATON ROUGE – LSU welcomes Southeastern Conference foe Mississippi State to Tiger Stadium on Saturday night for the league opener for the Tigers. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. CT and the game will be televised on ESPN2.
It’s the Gold Game for LSU and the school is billing the contest as “Gridiron Gold” as the Tigers will wear uniforms with similarities to the ones worn by the school in the 1940s.
Some of the highlights for Saturday’s game include the Tigers walking down Victory Hill at 3:55 p.m. followed by The Golden Band from Tigerland at 4:10. The band’s pre-game show in Tiger Stadium will take place at 5:49. The Tigers will take the field following the National Anthem at 6:01.
