BATON ROUGE – Coming off of a 34-13 victory over the Jacksonville State Gamecocks Saturday night in Tiger Stadium, the LSU football team moved up a spot to No. 20 in the AP Top 25 and remained at No. 22 in the Amway Coaches Poll released on Sunday.
Coming off the bench and leading the Tigers (1-1) to three consecutive scoring drives, Danny Etling finished with a throwing and rushing touchdown in the contest, while sophomore running back Derrius Guice ran for 155 yards and a touchdown in his first career LSU start.
LSU remains at home this week, hosting the Mississippi State (1-1) Bulldogs at 6 p.m. on Saturday. The game will be televised live on ESPN2.
