BATON ROUGE – LSU incoming women’s golf freshman Monica Dibildox of Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, qualified Monday for the upcoming 2016 United State Golf Association’s Women’s Amateur Championship.
The event is set for Aug. 1-7 at the Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, Pennsylvania.
Dibildox qualified for the Amateur as the medalist in sectional qualifying for the USGA event at the Lawrence Country Club in Lawrence, Kansas.
Dibildox posted the low score of 74 and will play in the Amateur for the second straight year. She reached match play previously in the U. S. Girls’ Junior Championship and tied for sixth in the Mexican Amateur.
