BATON ROUGE – LSU gymnastics put up a season-high 197.425 in a big win over then-No. 8 Arkansas to move up one spot to No. 5 in the Top 25 national rankings released Monday by RoadToNationals.com.
With the win LSU improved to 7-1 overall and 3-0 against Southeastern Conference competition as the Tigers extended two current streaks: 19 straight wins at home and 10 straight SEC wins in the regular season.
LSU heads to Athens, Georgia this weekend to face No. 11 Georgia at 3 p.m. CT Saturday in Stegeman Coliseum. The meet will be carried by SEC Network+ and will stream live online at www.WatchESPN.com.

Notes on the Tigers
In a Top-10 showdown between two SEC rivals, No. 6 LSU beat No. 8 Arkansas, 197.425-196.150, on Feb. 5. It marked a season high score for LSU, and it extended LSU’s home win streak to 19 dating back to the beginning of the 2014 season. LSU improved to 7-1 overall and 3-0 against SEC competition. Sophomore Myia Hambrick led the squad with arguably her finest meet as a Tiger. Hambrick won at least a share of all five individual titles and tied or set career highs on bars (9.925), beam (9.925), floor (9.90) and the all-around (39.625). Ashleigh Gnat, Sydney Ewing and Randii Wyrick tied Hambrick for the vault title as all four Tigers scored a 9.875. Sarah Finnegan tied Hambrick for the beam crown with a 9.925, and Gnat and Wyrick tied Hambrick for the floor title with 9.90s. As a team LSU set a season high with a 49.450 on beam, the team’s highest beam score since March 6, 2015 when the Tigers posted a 49.475 against Minnesota. In the newest rankings, LSU moved up one spot to No. 5 with a 196.705 season average, and the Tigers are No. 1 on vault with a 49.360 average, No. 6 on floor at 49.280, No. 9 on bars at 49.145 and No. 15 on beam at 48.920. Individually, Hambrick ranks fourth nationally in the all-around, and she is No. 20 on vault, No. 23 on bars and No. 25 on floor. Gnat is No. 1 on vault, No. 6 on floor and No. 16 in the all-around. Erin Macadaeg continues to rank No. 1 on floor with a 9.95 in her only performance. Ewing is No. 6 on vault. Lexie Priessman ranks 10th on bars. Shae Zamardi is No. 17 on bars. Wyrick and Julianna Cannamela are No. 25 on vault, and Wyrick is 24th on floor. LSU is back on the road this week when the Tigers travel to face Georgia at 3 p.m. CT Saturday in Athens. The meet will be carried on SEC Network+ and available to watch live online.
