BATON ROUGE – Former LSU star basketball player and LSU Sports Radio Network analyst Ricky Blanton will be the featured guest for a special Fat Tuesday edition of the Johnny Jones Tipoff Luncheon at the L’Auberge Hotel and Casino Baton Rouge.
The monthly gatherings for good food and basketball conversations are presented again this year by Hub International.
The event will feature Coach Jones speaking about his team and answering questions from the media and audience on hand. Most months, Coach Jones is joined by a guest who will also speak with the crowd and take questions.
Blanton helped LSU to the NCAA Final Four in 1986 and remains on LSU’s all-time list of top career scorers and rebounders. The member of LSU’s All-Century team and still a fan favorite of Tiger fans is in his seventh year as the network analyst.
The L’Auberge Hotel and Casino Baton Rouge is located off Nicholson Drive in Baton Rouge and the event will be held at the Bon Temps Buffet. The Buffet is available at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins at 12:10 p.m. The buffet is located on the ground floor of the hotel in the casino area.
