BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU is ranked No. 19 in the 2016 DiG Magazine Collegiate Beach Volleyball Preseason Poll, marking the first time the Lady Tigers have been ranked in the preseason and the first time they have ever been ranked in just their third year of competition.
LSU is one of two SEC schools to crack the preseason Top 20, including No. 17 South Carolina. Tulane was the only other Louisiana school to make the Top 20, coming in at No. 18.
The Lady Tigers will play in the annual Purple and Gold Scrimmage on Feburary 27 at Mango’s Beach Volleyball Club before they start the season in the FIU Beach Invitational against Jacksonville State at 8:30 a.m. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
