BATON ROUGE, La. – Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field, home of the renowned LSU baseball program, is No. 12 on the Stadium Journey Top 100 stadium experiences for 2015. LSU’s storied venue was rated higher that six Major League Baseball ball parks, including Fenway Park and Wrigley Field.
The correspondents of Stadium Journey reviewed collegiate and professional venues in the United States and Canada, and their ratings take into account the food and beverage served in the stadium, the overall atmosphere, the neighborhood where the stadium is located, the fans, access (which includes traffic, parking, ability to move around, and restrooms), and the overall return on investment.
“The Tiger baseball experience at Alex Box Stadium has it all, from a powerhouse ball club, state-of-the-art facility, great food selection, a rabid fan base, and an intimidating atmosphere for opposing teams,” writes Stadium Journey president Paul Swaney. “Fans of college baseball would be wise to make the pilgrimage to Baton Rouge part of their ballpark bucket list.”
