AUBURN, Ala. — Junior Andrew Suchla tallied a season-best score of 386.80 to finish second on three-meter on the opening day of the Auburn Diving Invitational at the James E Martin Aquatic Center.
In addition to Suchla’s performance, freshman Matthew Phillip finished fourth with a score of 328.05. Matt McClellan also finished sixth with a score of 302.55.
For the women, senior Allie Alter and Cassie Weil led the way with third and fourth place finishes respectively. Alter and Weil tallied scores of 264.60 and 264.25 on one-meter.
Katie Lagarde finished ninth with a score of 232.95. Freshman Rileigh Knox also finished in 10th place with a score of 231.15.
The LSU divers return to action Thursday at 11 a.m. for prelims of the women’s three-meter springboard and men’s one-meter.
