BATON ROUGE, La. – Junior Kara Kopcso has been named the Southeastern Conference Female Swimmer of the Week after a recording breaking performance over the weekend to lead the Lady Tigers to wins over Northern Arizona and Wyoming.
Kopcso dominated the two-day meet with four individual wins, a second place finish, and two relay wins. The Mandeville, Louisiana native contributed a total of 52 points and broke five pool records for the Lady Tigers.
The award marks the fourth time that Kopcso has won an SEC award during her time in Baton Rouge. The award marked the first LSU swimmer to be named the SEC Swimmer of the Week since Amanda Kendall did it in 2012.
