LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Senior Ella Taylor and freshman Jessica Golovin each went undefeated and won their flights of the UNLV Invite Sunday at the Frank and Vicki Fertitta Tennis Complex.
Taylor defeated TCU’s Mia King 6-2, 6-4 to finish the fall 8-4. Golovin earned a 6-2, 6-0 victory to improve to 9-3 during the fall slate.
Golovin also teamed up with Ryann Foster in the doubles final but the duo fell 8-3 to USC’s Zoe Katz and Jessica Failla.
Foster also played in singles and earned a victory over Mimi Fotopoulos of Oklahoma 5-7, 6-2, 1-0 (10-8) in the fifth-place match.
